What's a Tablet PC?

A Tablet PC is fully-functional Windows laptop with a screen that enables you to write directly on the screen using a special pen (included with the computer). You can also rotate the screen 180 degrees and lay it flat over the keyboard for a more comfortable reading and writing experience.

This makes it easy to perform a number of common tasks such as drawing diagrams while taking notes in class and making hand-written annotations or highlighting marks on PDF documents while doing assigned reading.  In addition, some DePauw courses use special collaboration software that works very naturally with Tablet PCs.
