Phone issue or request

The fastest way to get help with your phone is to contact the HelpDesk. Although staff members in I.S. enjoy hearing from you, after you tell them what's going on, they have to report it to the HelpDesk for it to be added to our SchoolDude ticketing system. Why not cut-out the middleman?

We now support Mavericks on Macs. #AnnounceIT

Information Services now supports Mavericks on Macintosh computers; however, we strongly recommend a clean install, not an upgrade, to avoid performance issues. Faculty and staff should email HelpDesk@depauw.edu if you would like to schedule a time to have Mavericks installed on your computer.

Also, Apple has announced the release of a new operating system coming this fall named Yosemite. Yosemite has not been tested with all of DePauw’s systems and is not supported by Information Systems until testing can be completed later in the fall semester. Please do not install it on your system until you hear otherwise from us.

As always, please contact the HelpDesk at HelpDesk@depauw.edu or (765) 658-4294 with any questions or concerns.

Class of 2018 photo upload for DePauw ID card deadlineapproaches. #ConnectIT

As the June 13th deadline approaches for you to upload your photo for your DePauw ID card, it is exciting for us to start getting familiar with the faces that we will soon see walking around campus. The photo you upload should be passport-style taken within the last six months that meets the following guidelines.

NOTE: Please follow these guidelines carefully because
your photo will be rejected if it does not meet these requirements.

  • It must be a focused color photo taken in full-face view (e.g. only your head and the top of your shoulders) with you directly facing the camera.
  • Prescription glasses are allowed. You may not wear sunglasses, hats, hoodies, or headphones.
  • The photo should not have flash reflections, glare, or shadows.
  • The background must be uniform, plain, and white. You may want to consider using a plain white sheet or towel or a large sheet of white paper as a backdrop for your photo.
  • The photo must be in JPEG (.jpg) format and no larger than 1 MB.

Reminder - Class of 2014 - Termination of your IT accounts #AnnounceIT

As the Class of 2014 prepares for life after DePauw, it is important to know what will happen to your DePauw IT accounts upon graduation:

Google Apps Account (email, calendar, docs, etc.)

Your current DePauw Google Account will be deleted on August 1, 2014. Once it is deleted, it is gone and you will not be able to retrieve any of your saved emails, calendar events, contacts, docs, or other information contained in that account. Please review and clean up the forwarding rules you have set up prior to your account being deleted to eliminate the possibility of unwanted email being forwarded inappropriately.

To migrate your DePauw email to a personal email account, you may use Google’s Mail Fetcher. You will need to know DePauw’s POP Settings to complete this migration. Google Takeout is also available for downloading data from a number of Google products.

Stay connected with DePauw through the Online Directory and Alumni App

DePauw’s Office of Alumni Engagement provides opportunities to connect with DePauw and fellow alumni through the Online Directory and Alumni App. Through the Online Directory you can update your contact information, as well as search for and connect with fellow DePauw alumni. Click here to download the app on your mobile device, or search for "EverTrue" in the Apple App store or Google Play store. To learn more, visit depauw.edu/alumni/connect.
