New Secure Password Requirements in e-Services Accounts

e-Services now requires stronger passwords to ensure greater security of the sensitive information contained in the system.

In the new requirements, everyone’s e-Services password must be changed at least once every 12 months and meet the following characteristics:

• 8 or more characters in length
• 3 of the following:
- at least one uppercase character
- at least one lowercase character
- at least one number (0-9)
- at least one special character (#,*,$, etc.)

Starting on February 16, after you log in to e-Services, you will notice a password expiration countdown notice at the top of the screen. Students, faculty and staff will also receive an e-mail telling them their password expires in 30 days.

If you don’t change the password by the end of your expiration countdown, the next time you log in to e-Services it will require you to change it before proceeding in the system.

Once you have changed the password, your countdown is reset and e-Services require you to change it again in 12 months.

Please contact the HelpDesk (765-658-4294) if you have any questions.
